Mint Hill

Hurricane Michael Information

Public Works has prepared for a modified emergency state of operations for the Hurricane Michael event. Latest National Hurricane Center predictions show the storm impacting Mint Hill beginning early Thursday morning and lasting through the afternoon.

Public Works will be on standby throughout the storm. The storm event message line is active and will be monitored for issues and threats to the public right-of-way. To report trees down blocking roads, flooding on or near the road, or other public issues related to the storm, please call: 980-292-1611.

Road barricades and cones will be used to temporarily block access to hazardous areas. They will be removed as soon as those areas are deemed safe. Roads are blocked for your safety, not for your inconvenience.

Several lives were tragically and unnecessarily lost during Hurricane Florence due to people driving around barricades—please don't be a statistic!
